Terms of use

Last updated 23 September 2026 · Operator: HyStudio

1. Who operates this site

This website and the Day One Studio program are operated by HyStudio, trading as HySelective, registered on 05 June 2012 at 8 Thistle Court, Manchester, M2 5BQ, United Kingdom. Contact: contact@hyselective.com or +44 161 496 0182. These terms are written for customers registering from the United Kingdom.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this website or registering for the program you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not accept them, do not register.

3. What the program is and is not

Day One Studio is an educational program. It teaches a production process and supports your practice. It does not promise, project or guarantee views, subscribers, monetization approval, revenue, clients or any other result, and no figure on this site is a forecast of your earnings. The full statement is in our earnings & results disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

4. Registration and your account

You must give accurate details when registering and keep your access credentials to yourself. Access is personal to one named individual. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may refuse or cancel a registration where the details are false or the terms are breached.

5. Payment, invoicing and currency

Pricing and current intake details are sent by email after you register, quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) for UK customers unless stated otherwise. Invoices are issued by HyStudio. As a UK consumer you are entitled to a VAT receipt or invoice on request.

6. Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)

If you are a UK consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from the date of registration to cancel for any reason and receive a full refund, subject to the paragraph below. To cancel, email contact@hyselective.com with your name and registration date.

Because the program is digital content delivered immediately on access, that statutory cancellation right ends early once you have started the course, but only if you have expressly asked us to begin during the 14-day period and have acknowledged that doing so ends your right to cancel. We ask for that acknowledgement during registration. Outside of that early-access route, or after the 14 days, refund requests are considered case by case in line with this section and section 7.

7. Refunds after the cooling-off period

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement, a price reduction, or in some cases a refund, depending on how far you have progressed and what has gone wrong. Contact us within 14 days of noticing a problem and we will review your request in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and this section.

8. Intellectual property

All lessons, videos, written SOPs, templates, prompts and checklists are owned by HyStudio or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them for your own learning and your own production work, including work you produce for your clients.

You may not share your access, re-publish, resell, sublicense, re-record, translate or redistribute the materials, or use them to build a competing course. Screen recording or bulk downloading of lessons is not permitted.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to breach the security of this site or the learning platform, scrape it, overload it, or use it to distribute unlawful, infringing or harmful material. Do not use the program to produce content that breaches YouTube's policies or another person's rights.

10. Third-party tools and platforms

The program refers to third-party tools and platforms. They are governed by their own terms and pricing, they are not supplied by us, and their availability may change. HySelective is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, or any tool provider named on this site.

11. No guarantee of results

We give no guarantee about outcomes of any kind. See the earnings & results disclaimer for the reasons and for the factors that sit outside our control.

12. Limitation of liability

We provide the program with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost audience, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the program or this site. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the program. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

13. Suspension for breach

We may suspend or terminate access without refund where these terms are materially breached — in particular where access is shared or materials are redistributed.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from the program, are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a UK consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK you live in, and these terms do not remove any protection given to you by mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

15. Complaints and alternative dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, contact us first at contact@hyselective.com so we can try to put it right. As a UK consumer you may also be able to use an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider, or the Citizens Advice consumer helpline, if we cannot resolve a complaint directly.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Changes that materially affect enrolled students are announced by email before they take effect.
